Refund not cancelable

POST /v1/refunds/{id}/cancel for a refund that can no longer be canceled: Roster approved it for sending to the donor at least once; it is a refund of part of a donation the church was not paid yet, and Roster already reviewed it, so the rest of the donation is on its way to the church; or it already ended (succeeded, failed or canceled). Nothing changed.

Read the refund with GET /v1/refunds/{id}. A refund that already reads canceled needs nothing more. Only a refund that Roster never approved for sending can be canceled: pending (except processing) or requires_action, before its first approval. A refund whose money the donor's bank sent back reads requires_action again, and still cannot be canceled. A refund of part of a donation the church was not paid yet can be canceled only before Roster's review, which in the sandbox comes right after the refund is created. See Cancel a refund.
